I’m Karolis Markevičius, an AI consultant and strategist working with companies across Europe – mostly professional services firms (legal, finance, accounting, consulting) and growing SMBs.
Most companies come to me asking „which tool should we use?” It’s almost always the wrong first question. The companies that fail with AI buy the technology first. The ones that succeed get clear on the problem first – what it actually changes, and whether AI is even the right answer. Strategy before tools, not the other way around.
I don’t sell guaranteed efficiency percentages. I work on your actual problem, your constraints, and what can realistically change.
Why most AI projects underperform
It’s rarely the technology. Tools work. Projects stall in the layer most consulting skips:
- The problem was never clearly defined — so AI just helps you reach the wrong outcome faster.
- The solution didn’t fit how the organisation actually works, so adoption never happened.
- No one asked what it opens up next, so it stayed a one-off pilot with no momentum.
A polished tool that no one uses returns nothing. That gap — between a system that works and one that gets used — is where I spend most of my time.
How I work
Four stages. Each one has a clear output.
1. Problem mapping. With the people who do the work every day, we find where time and accuracy actually leak. Often the „AI problem” turns out to be a broken process no one had fixed.
2. Where AI fits — and where it doesn’t. I identify the specific steps where AI or automation strengthens human work, and the ones where it only adds noise.
3. Pilot. We start with one clearly scoped solution. Small, working, measurable. No „transformation” promises.
4. Adoption. I help the team build the solution into daily work — often through one-to-one AI coaching tailored to a specific role.
Under the hood I work with automation platforms (n8n), Google Workspace integrations, and LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) where they fit the problem.
Who I work with — and who I don’t
Good fit: you have repetitive manual processes; you’ve tried AI tools but the team doesn’t use them; you want to start from a concrete result, not a big rollout.
Not a fit: you want the cheapest „do everything” solution, or AI for the sake of AI. I’ll tell you that directly.
This is boutique consulting – you work with me, not through account managers.
Selected work
Document processing — law firm. Scanned documents turned into structured, searchable data (OCR), so lawyers stop re-typing by hand.
Process mapping before implementation. A client came to me after a failed AI rollout that created more mess than value. We fixed the process first, then automated. Usage climbed — because the solution finally fit real work.
Supplier price intake. Suppliers emailed prices; staff re-keyed them into spreadsheets by hand. We built a pilot that reads the emails, extracts the pricing data, and writes it straight to Google Sheets. The data is just there now.
Specific numbers depend on the process. I talk about realistic results for your situation on a call — not in promises on a page.
FAQ
What does it cost? It depends on scope. Simple automation starts in the low four figures; larger engagements run higher. You get a real number after the free call, once the problem is clear.
How long does it take? A pilot often ships in 2–4 weeks. Larger work runs over a few months, in stages, so you see results early.
Do we need technical skills? No. I build solutions ordinary team members can use, and train them to run them.
Is it GDPR-compliant? Solutions are aligned with GDPR and the EU AI Act. Where data is sensitive, we sort that out before we start — not after.

A free 30-minute call. We’ll:
- get clear on your actual problem,
- see where AI or automation would genuinely help (and where it wouldn’t),
- leave you with a concrete next step.
